Geography is the subject of various countries of the world. 

Literature also describes the geography. 

Unfortunately, some writers describe the wrong geography in their writings. 

Thus, the new readers (children, boys, and girls) become confused about geography.

Jules Verne was a French writer.
He shortly wrote this novel about the world journey. 

Though, this novel was written by imagination of Jules Verne – but, he (Jules Verne) described about various countries, cultures…. According to real geography. 

“From Russia with love” by Ian Fleming ✒ 

This novel is a spy thriller.
But, Ian Fleming described about turkey and Russian culture, location..... According to pure geography. 

“You only live twice” by Ian Fleming ✒ 

Moreover, this novel is a spy thriller. 
The place of this novel is Japan.
We know, it is said that, Japan is the country of beauty, culture, civilization, science, earth earthquake.......... 
(Rabindranath Tagore also said about Japan)
In this novel, he (Ian Fleming) described the real culture, geography of Japan. 

“Gengtokey Gondogol (A Murder Case in Gangtok)” by Satyajit Ray ✒ 

Feluda is the most popular fictional detective character in bangle literature. 

He (Satyajit Ray) wrote this novel about a murder case in Gangtok. 

Gangtok is the mountain city of Sikkim state, India.
Sikkim is in the middle point of china, Nepal, Bhutan and nearby Bangladesh. 

He (Satyajit Ray) described the real culture and geography of Gangtok in this novel.

“Srikanta (The Traveling Life)” by Sarat Chandra Chattopadhay ✒ 

“Srikanta” is the bionovel of Sarat Babu. 

Sarat Babu described the Burmese (Myanmar) culture, society, life-style.......in Srikanta novel-2. 

In British period, Burma was attested with India. 

This is why, many Bengali went to Burma for job and business. 

Moreover, Sarat Babu really went to Burma for employment. 

 Next time, he wrote srikanto-2 novels according to his experience about Yangon, Burma. 

Actually and truly he (Sarat Babu) described about Burma.

ভূগোল এমন একটি বিষয়, যা পৃথিবীর বিভিন্ন দেশ ও স্থানের অবস্থা বর্ণনা করে। 

তাই, প্রত্যেক সাহিত্যিকের উচিৎ তাঁদের লেখায় ভূগোলের সঠিক বর্ণনা দেয়া।
যেন পাঠকরা ভূগোল সম্পর্কে সঠিক জ্ঞান অর্জন করতে পারেন। 

কিন্তু, কিছু সাহিত্যিক রয়েছেন, যাঁরা তাঁদের লেখায় বিভিন্ন স্থানের এমন বর্ণনা দিয়েছেন, যার সঙ্গে বাস্তবের কোন মিল নাই। 

তবে, কিছু উৎকৃষ্ট মানের সাহিত্যিক রয়েছেন, যিনিরা তিনিদের লেখায় ভূগোলের সঠিক বর্ণনা প্রদান করেছেন। 

১) জুলভার্নের, "Around the world in 80 days (আশি দিনে বিশ্বভ্রমণ)" :- যে উপন্যাসে রয়েছে বিভিন্ন দেশের সঠিক বর্ণনা। 

২ ) ইয়ান ফ্লেমিং-র,"From russia with love (রাশিয়ার ভালোবাসা নিয়ে)" :- এই উপন্যাসে রয়েছে রাশিয়া, তুরস্কসহ আরও কয়েকটি ইউরোপিয়ান দেশের চমৎকার বর্ণনা। 

৩ ) সত্যজিৎ রায়ের,"গ্যাঙটকে গণ্ডগোল" :- গ্যাঙটক ভারতের অঙ্গরাজ্য সিকিমের রাজধানী। যা চীন, নেপাল,ভূটানের ঠিক মধ্যখানে এবং বাংলাদেশের অত্যন্ত কাছে অবস্থিত। 

এই উপন্যাসে সিকিম আর গ্যাঙটক সম্পর্কে সত্যজিৎ রায় যে বর্ণনা প্রদান করেছেন, তা পুরোপুরি ভূগোল নির্ভর। 

৪) শরৎচন্দ্র চট্টোপাধ্যায়ের,"শ্রীকান্ত" :- এই উপন্যাসের দ্বিতীয় খণ্ডে বার্মা, তথা বর্তমান মিয়ানমারের রেঙ্গুন (বর্তমানে ইয়াঙ্গুন) সম্পর্কে শরৎবাবু নিজের অভিজ্ঞতা থেকে বর্ণনা করেছেন। 
কেননা, শরৎবাবু নিজেই সেখানে বহুদিন চাকরি করেছিলেন।
