Historical literature is minimally based on the real history.
But, historical literature maximally increased by the imagination of the writers.
Though, historical literature increased by the imagination.
But, there is no authority for the historical writers to disfigure the original history.
The modern writers should avoid disfiguring to save the original history.
Though, previous many great writers disfigured the real history. ⏩
A) “Antonio – Cleopatra" by William Shakespeare ▶️
Here William Shakespeare disfigured the original history.
It is true that, Antonio married Cleopatra.
And Antonio killed himself of political failure.
Moreover, Cleopatra killed herself of political failure.
They killed themselves for political failures – never for romance or love.
Additionally, William Shakespeare mentioned political history to romantic history.
It is true that, William Shakespeare was a great writer – but, never a historian or philosopher or scholar.
He wrote drama, tragedy …. For British opera for business – never discover the original history.
So, that, for writing the historical literature, modern writers should avoid the style of William Shakespeare.

ঐতিহসিক সাহিত্য মানে, ইতিহাসেরর কোন ঘটনাকে কেন্দ্র করে রচিত গল্প-কবিতা-উপন্যাস।
আর এই সব ঐতিহাসিক সাহিত্য কখনোই প্রকৃত ইতিহাসের সমপর্যায়ের হতে পারে না।
কেননা, ঐতিহাসিক সাহিত্য যদিও ইতিহাসের কোন ঘটনাকে কেন্দ্র করে রচিত হয় – তবুও সেগুলোতে বাস্তব ইতিহাসের চেয়ে লেখকের কল্পনার সংযোজন থাকে বহু গুণ বেশি।
তাই ঐতিহাসিক সাহিত্য কখনোই প্রকৃত ইতিহাসের সমতুল্য হতে পারে না।
যে কেউ চাইলে ঐতিহাসিক সাহিত্য রচনা করতে পারেন, কিন্তু তা করতে গিয়ে প্রকৃত ইতিহাসকে বিকৃত করার অধিকার কোন ব্যক্তির থাকতে পারে না।
কিন্তু দুঃখজনক হলেও সত্য যে, এমন কিছু বড় মাপের সাহিত্যিক রয়েছেন, যাঁরা ইচ্ছা করে হোক আর নিজেদের অজ্ঞতার কারণেই হোক – তাঁরা ইতিহাসকে মারাত্মকভাবে বিকৃত করেছেন।
১) উইলিয়াম শেক্সপিয়রের, “এ্যান্টিনিও-ক্লিওপেট্রা” নাটক ▶️
এই নাটকে তিনি প্রকৃত ইতিহাসকে বিকৃত করেছেন।
রাজনৈতিক ঘটনাগুলোকে তিনি প্রেমের ঘটনা হিসেবে বর্ণনা করেছেন।
২) হ্যানরি রাইডার হ্যাগার্ডের,“ক্লিওপেট্রা” উপন্যাস ▶️
হ্যাগার্ড আধুনিক ইংরেজি সাহিত্যের অন্যতম বড় সাহিত্যক।
কিন্তু, তিনিও ক্লিওপেট্রার জীবন ভিত্তিক উপন্যাস রচনা করতে গিয়ে প্রকৃত ইতিহাসকে বিকৃত করেছেন।
তিনি যাদু, তুক-তাক, বানোয়াট অলৌকিক কাহিনির বর্ণনা করে তিনির উপন্যাসকে জমজমাট করতে গিয়ে প্রকৃত ইতিহাসকে মারাত্মকভাবে বিকৃত করেছেন।
এবং এই উপন্যাসের অন্যতম চরিত্র হিসেবে,“হারমাচিস্” নামক এক কাল্পনিক ব্যক্তির সংযোজন করে তিনি ঐতিহাসিক উপন্যাসকে কাল্পনিক উপন্যাসে পরিণত করেছেন।
৩) ভূদেব মুখোপাধ্যায়ের,“অঙ্গুরীয় বিনিময়” উপন্যাস ▶️
ভূদেব বাবু বাংলা উপন্যাসের অন্যতম প্রতিষ্ঠাতা – যদিও বঙ্কিমচন্দ্র চট্টোপাধ্যায়েরর,“দুর্গেশনন্দিনী” বাংলা সাহিত্যের প্রথম সার্থক উপন্যাস।
কিন্তু, দুঃখজনক হলেও সত্য যে, ভূদেব বাবু “অঙ্গুরীয় বিনিময়” উপন্যাসে সম্রাট আলমগির (অওরঙ্গজেব) সম্পর্কে এমন কিছু কাহিনি বর্ণনা করেছেন, যেগুলোর সঙ্গে বাস্তব ইতিহাসের কোন ধরণের সম্পর্ক নাই।
৪) মারিও পুজোর,“দ্য ফ্যামিলি” উপন্যাস ▶️
পোপ রজারিও বোরজিয়া (ষষ্ঠ আলেকজান্ডার)-এর জীবনী নিয়ে এই উপন্যাস রচনা করতে গিয়ে মারিও পুজো এমন কিছু কাল্পনিক কাহিনির বর্ণনা করেছেন, যেগুলো পুরোপুরি ভিত্তিহীন।
মারিও পুজো, “দ্য ফ্যামিলি” উপন্যাসে বর্ণনা করেছেন যে, রজারিও বোরজিয়া ঘুষ আর দুর্নীতির মাধ্যমে পোপ হয়েছিলেন – যা পুরোপুরি মিথ্যা ও ভিত্তিহীন।
সেই সঙ্গে, মারিও পুজো তিনির,“দ্য ফ্যামিলি” উপন্যাসে মধ্যযুগের ইটালি দেশের প্রকৃত ইতিহাসকেও বিকৃত করেছেন।
⭐ কিন্তু, আমরা তৃতীয় সহস্রাব্দের লেখকরা ইতিহাসের সত্যতা বজায় রেখেই ঐতিহাসিক সাহিত্য রচনা করব।
✨ প্রকৃতপক্ষে, ঐতিহাসিক সাহিত্যিকদের উচিৎ প্রকৃত ইতিহাস জেনে ঐতিহাসিক সাহিত্য রচনা করা ।
