Most of the novelists of the world write novels according to the contemporary situations of the time and societies. 

Furthermore, some big novelists write novels according to contemporary political problems. 

Though they write novels according to the contemporary political problems – but, their novels never become the political solutions. ✒ 

🌟 'War and Peace' by Count Lev Nikolayevich Tolstoy

War and Peace https://g.co/kgs/daxniy is one of the biggest and one of the most famous novels in the world. 

The war of Emperor Napoleon Bonaparte

Descriptions by descriptions Tolstoy wrote this novel. But, this novel never the political solution. 

Tolstoy compared emperor Napoleon with sea rover (episode 8 / chapter 3), derailed person (episode 9 / chapter 6), beast (episode 9 / chapter 19), enemy of humanity (episode 9 / chapter 22). 

At last, Tolstoy aggressively criticized Napoleon – which is never suitable for the novelists. 

*** It is said that, Vladimir Lenin liked this novel, it is true. 

And it is more true that, Vladimir Lenin liked this novel just as a novel – never a political solution book.

Gora is the biggest novel by Rabindranath Tagore. 

There were very hard political differences between the Indian people about the nationality, political ideology ......... 

Also, these problems were in the people of Bangladesh/Bongodesh (present :- West Bengal, Bangladesh, Assam, Tripura.....). 

Lord Curzon divided the real Bangla in 1905 with the name 'Bongovongo (Dividing of the Bengal)'. 

Many people take residence against 'Bongovongo'. 

As a result, the Bangladesh recombined in 1911. 

It is said that, Rabindranath Tagore wrote this novel for 'Bongovongo'. 

It is true, but it is also true that – Rabindranath Tagore started this novel with political descriptions and dialogues. 

At last completed by description of romance, love, and family disorders. 

This is why, 'Gora' novel may be a high-class novel – but, never the political solution.

'Mother' is the most famous novel by Russian writer Maxim Gorky. 

'Mother' novel though may be a political novel – but, never higher than 'Gora' novel. 

It is true that, novelists do not write novels for the political solutions – but the readers never should think that, political novels are the political solutions. 

 

উপন্যাস লেখকরা সাধারণত তিনিদের সময়ের প্রচলিত সামাজিক সমস্যা নিয়ে উপন্যাস রচনা করেন।

আবার কোন কোন উপন্যাস লেখক তিনিদের সময়ের রাজনৈতিক সমস্যা নিয়ে উপন্যাস রচনা করেন। 

কিন্তু, তিনিদের সেই উপন্যাসগুলো তিনিদের সময়ের রাজনৈতিক অবস্থার বর্ণনা হলেও, কখনই রাজনৈতিক সমস্যার সমাধান হতে পারে না। 

১) রাশিয়ান ঔপন্যাসিক কাউন্ট লিও টলস্টয়ের লেখা,“ওয়ার এন্ড পিস্ (যুদ্ধ ও শান্তি)” পৃথিবীর সর্বকালের বৃহৎ উপন্যাসগুলোর মধ্যে উল্লেখযোগ্য একটি উপন্যাস। 

মূলতঃ ফ্রান্সের সম্রাট নেপোলিয়ন বোনাপার্টের রাশিয়া আক্রমনের ইতিহাসকে ভিত্তি করে এই উপন্যাস রচনা করা হয়েছিলো। 

সেই সঙ্গে, “সহযোগি কাহিনি” হিসেবে রাশিয়ান অভিজাত পরিবারের অবস্থা বর্ণনা করা হয়েছে। 

কিন্তু, বর্ণনার পর বর্ণনার মাধ্যমে এই উপন্যাসের আয়তনকে বড় করা হলেও রাজনৈতিক কোন সমাধান এই উপন্যাসে নাই। 

বরং, উপন্যাসের শেষের দিকে টলস্টয় আগ্রাসিভাবে নেপোলিয়নের সমালোচনা করেন, যা একজন ঔপন্যাসিকের জন্য কখনই প্রযোজ্য হতে পারে না। 

এটা বলা হয় যে, ভ্লাদিমির লেনিন “ওয়ার এন্ড পিস্” উপন্যাসটি খুবই পছন্দ করতেন। 

তবে, তা নিছক উপন্যাস হিসেবেই, কোন রাজনৈতিক সমাধান হিসেবে না। 

২) রবীন্দ্রনাথ ঠাকুরের “গোরা” উপন্যাস বাংলা সাহিত্যের অন্যতম রাজনৈতিক উপন্যাস। 

এটা বলা হয় যে, ১৯০৫ সালের বঙ্গভঙ্গ-র ভিত্তিতে এই উপন্যাস রচনা করা হয়। 

তা কিছুটা সত্য হলেও হতে পারে – কিন্তু পুরোপুরি সত্য না। 

কেননা, রবীন্দ্রনাথ প্রথমে তিনির এই উপন্যাস শুরু করেছিলেন রাজনৈতিক কিছু সংলাপ আর তর্ক-বিতর্কের মাধ্যমে। 

কিন্তু, কাহিনির অর্ধেক থেকে প্রেম আর পারিবারিক দ্বন্দ্বের বর্ণনা দিয়ে তিনি (রবীন্দ্রনাথ) উপন্যাস শেষ করেছেন। 

ফলে, তিনির “গোরা” উপন্যাসটি রাজনৈতিক থেকে প্রেমের উপন্যাসে পরিণত হয়েছে। 

৩) ম্যাক্সিম গোর্কির “মা” উপন্যাসটিকে রাজনৈতিক উপন্যাস বলা হলেও, তা রবীন্দ্রনাথ ঠাকুরের “গোরা” উপন্যাসের চেয়েও নিম্ন মানের উপন্যাস। 

🌟 এটা সত্য যে, ঔপন্যাসিকরা রাজনৈতিক সমাধানের জন্য উপন্যাস লেখেন না – কিন্তু কোন পাঠকের জন্য উচিৎ না সেই সব রাজনৈতিক উপন্যাসকে রাজনৈতিক সমস্যার সমাধান মনে করা।
